Growing up in a small community and only having access to 3 TV stations on the best of days gave me the opportunity to be creative. I was encouraged by my mother to do all types of art and crafts, a passion she loved. Paint by number, ceramics along with all other types of activity were a big part of my growing up. In 2016 I went to a fun paint night, got the bug, and have not stopped painting since.
I started working with acrylic medium, dabbled in watercolor however my favourite medium is oil. I watched many YouTube videos learning many techniques, attempted portraits, scenery, and animals. Although I enjoy painting most subjects, I feel I found my niche with Pet Portraits. It gives me much pleasure to bring out the personality and spirit of a person’s fur baby, capture a moment and seeing the joy it brings to them. I continue to learn and have had the privilege to paint many pets for customers.
